gloryfy meets Finnish designer Tebian

Finnish designer Teppo Lakaniemi is the go-to guys in Helsinki’s design-scene, if you are is looking for innovative, customized furniture. He has managed to build a modern design brand which goes by his nickname “Tebian”. Once Teppo was introduced to gloryfy, we knew something promising could  happen. That moment arrived and we are proud to present the gloryfy .TEBIAN sunglasses in Finnland.

.TEBIAN makes mostly customized furniture for private customers and restaurants, but it is also a lifestyle brand with its own philosophy and a vast group of fans in Scandinavia and around the globe. Teppo was very impressed with our unique unbreakable NBFX material and the vast variety of our SUN and SPORT sunglasses collections. There was only one thing missing: he was looking for a black in black gloryfy – which is .TEBIAN’s favourite colourway.

“I have been asked many times why I don´t make sunglasses with wooden frames. But this would not be anything new. The material of gloryfy is unique and innovative and I was excited about it right away. This is what I want my own products to be as well. The brands are a perfect match. And you know how it is, you go out on Friday and on Sunday your sunglasses are normally broken.”

We liked the .TEBIAN story and his wish to design a pair of matt black gloryfy sunglasses featuring the .TEBIAN logo and style and the Gi2 DeJaVu sunglasses were the perfect style for this collab. Thanks to the memory effect in all of our unbreakable sunglasses, you can bend and twist the glasses but they always return to their original shape. This applies obviously to our lenses as well, which are of supreme optical quality and can also be made with prescription.
