The Search: Pillows & Tapas Val d’Aran (Spain)

Good morning Spain from inside our mobile home!

“Bumpy Films” office, check out the ski fence in the back!

We had a super spontaneous trip to the spanish side of the Pyrenees. Conditions at home were a bit tricky and we saw the Pyrenees got a lot of fresh powder. And so – after some phonecalls – Fabi Lentsch, Raphi Webhofer and myself headed southwest the next day. Even after an 18 hour drive to Val d’aran (Spain) we woke up and were still as stoked as the day before. Let the search begin!

A always smiling and happy Jaime from the local film production company “Bumpy Films” welcomed us at our home at the lift parking lot and we spent 5 (unexpectedly) amazing and intense days of filming in almost every different type of terrain and access method we could have had … pillows, sled towing, skinning, treeruns, open lines and even helitime – you name it, we did it!

And we kept seeing endless other lines and mountains, the potential there is mindblowing and the mountains beautiful. Plus: it’s super nice to enjoy tapas and the spanish flavor after skiing.  Definitely a new, super nice experience for all of us! Thank you „Bumpy Films“ and Aymar Navarro who were the best hosts and organizers you could imagine, looking forward to the video of the trip that the guys at bumpy films are cutting at the moment. Until then here are some screenshots that I grabed in the „Bumpy Films“ office … 😉
